 With only two weeks to go till the release of the Borat movie, the nation of Kazakhstan are trying to do some pre-emptive damage control.  The first deputy foreign minister for Kazakhstan, Rakhat Aliyev, has invited Borat’s alter-ego Sacha Baron Cohen to come and visit the country to see that they are not all anti-semetic, horse urine drinking sexists.  In the past he had threatened Cohen with legal action and had even closed down his fake website. It now seems he has had a change of heart;

“I understand that the feelings of many people are hurt by Cohen’s show,” he said. “But we must have a sense of humour and respect the creative freedom of others.”

He said he could make fascinating discoveries, like the fact that women can not only ride inside buses but that they also drive cars. No word on yet he has taken up the offer. Personally can’t wait to see the movie!
